SYMLOG measures and displays how "famous people" are perceived to behave.
This picture (called a "Field Diagram") shows the way some students at the Harvard Business School perceived certain "famous people" behaving in a specific context.

For example, Mick Jagger performing at a concert, Henry Ford at a board meeting, Jesus giving his sermon on the Mount, Job talking with God, John Dean testifying at the Watergate Hearings, Yasser Arafat addressing the United Nations, Abraham Lincoln delivering his Gettysburg Address, Hitler addressing the Reichstag.

How do you think people who are important to you (like your boss or parent or spouse) would characterize your behavior? Where would your behavior be displayed on a field diagram?
