Goals & Objectives

As a participant in the Certification process, you will:

  • Learn a method to assess individual, team and organizational effectiveness;
  • Understand the theory and research associated with the method;
  • Become familiar with SYMLOG products available for values-based change programs;
  • Increase your understanding of group dynamics, and the factors that contribute to unification and polarization within social interaction systems;
  • Understand better the use of survey feedback; and,
  • Gain access to a wealth of programs designed for individual, team, and organization development upon successful completion of the training requirements.

Methodology

The workshop is primarily experiential, relying on personal use of the assessments to understand the theory behind the method, the design of feedback materials, and the products available for the development market. Learning is achieved through:

  • self-assessment
  • feedback from co-workers
  • small group interaction
  • case analyses and presentations
  • reading materials
  • interactive software programs**
  • simulated interventions/practice sessions
  • objective examinations
